Do I need my own boat?

No. Many hosts partner with local boat operators or run shore-based trips. You can also host trips that use rental boats or group charters.

Can I host as an independent instructor?

Yes! You don't need to be affiliated with a dive shop. Independent instructors and freelance guides are welcome.

How do deposits work?

You can require a deposit at booking (e.g., 25% or 50%) with the balance due closer to the trip date. You set the terms.

What if a diver cancels?

You set your own cancellation policy. Scuba.org processes refunds according to your stated policy.

Does Scuba.org provide insurance?

No. You are responsible for your own liability insurance and ensuring divers have appropriate coverage. We recommend DAN or similar.

Can multiple guides collaborate on one trip?

Yes. You can add co-hosts to help manage trips. Revenue is paid to the primary host's Stripe account.
